Comparisons!

Past simple         

                                                                                     

In the past simple we usually talk about

activities we did with a sequence.

E-G I woke up at 5: 00 then I took a shower 

and I went to school.

When talk in past we are talkign about 

activites that were totally done.

E.G. Jerau won a grammy

 Past continuous 

In the past continous we usally talk about

actions that 

were happening in a certain time

E.G. I was doing the dishes in the afternoon

However, we can use both tenses when writing and speaking

E.G  I took my morning shower while my sister was having breakfast
